Very similar in style to her dam, Alleen, Allure has straighter leg sets both front and back, and more sharpness to the withers than her dam.  Her personality is an extension of her markings, especially that black and pink nose! :)  The elegance that this doe has, doesn't come through in the photo.  She is an exquisite looking animal and we can't wait to see her go through the maturation process.  She did well at her first show, going RJGCH, when only 2 1/2 months old showing against dry yearlings!

2012:  Allure freshened with a bit of a rough start. She prematurely dropped her kids, which we could only attribute to heat stress.  Then she retained her placenta.  After her vet visit she was laying in the barn and another doe stomped on her teat!  It was damaged with swelling, but fortunately the hole did not go all the way through the teat wall.  We think the teat can be saved, which makes us most thankful as she really freshened with quite the pretty udder!  We may milk her through in order to strengthen that orifice this next year but will need to evaluate that come fall.  In the event that we do breed her, she will be bred to Richy.

We may take her to some shows this year, but not have her uddered up, just for the experience since she hasn't been off the farm since she was a kid.  So she may not place well this year, but we hope that by careful handling of her udder injury she can rebound fully in the future!

We did manage to save the babies, which is fabulous because the doe is a gorgeous two-tone chamoisee!
