Structurally, Beatitude is incredibly sound.  Our highest appraising first freshener, she is smooth from withers to rump with a tight shoulder assembly, nice rump width, great length, and strength of bone.  We were quite excited to see her freshen and were not disappointed.  Her udder is stamped with her sire, Acceleration all over it;  nice sized teats with great delineation, high and tight with great attachment in the rear, with a nicely extended foreudder.  This is the udder we have been breeding for!

Our Acceleration daughters have all been very productive in the milking department and Beatitude seems to be no exception.  It has been an interesting adventure as sometime in her younger years she developed an ulcer.  When freshening we could not keep her on her grain and took her to a vet that helped diagnose the problem.  Based on this we have had to experiment with her on different feed rations as she cannot seem to handle anything too rich.  Right now she is milking on a ration of mostly rolled oats.  We will most likely dry her off early this year and breed her late in order to keep her off grain as we treat her for her ulcer.  We have been told it is treatable and may take up to a year to heal.

As with all of Acceleration's does that we have bred, they have been very dairy and take some years to show maturity.  Beatitude follows that rule.  Placing 3rd and 4th in some of her classes, we feel this is due to her need to mature structurally and come into her own.  A lot of the 2yos she has been competing against have been very mature looking and Beatitude is not quite at that spot in her life.  Regardless of that, she has caught the attention of other breeders and is our most talked about first freshener.  As one judge has stated, she will be something in the next year or so!
