 2011 Doe Kids

Symphony is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.  She has matured so much, especially in the last month.  She is very smooth in the shoulder, with excellent length and balance and very nice depth of body.  Her uphill stature as well as depth in the heart girth is impressive. As is typical of this line she will be a slower maturing doe.  Her dam, Splash, really didn't begin to shine until the age of 4.

We are so pleased with Penny.  She is a lovely angular doe with the length we so enjoy seeing in the breed.  She has amazing width in the rump, excellent dairy character, and a smoothly blended front assembly.   Penny went RGCH in the one ring she was shown in this year.

Her dam, Penelopy, is another lovely Yukon Jack daughter.  Penelopy stood 2nd to Living Free (see below) at the Red Bluff show in CA this year in a class of 12 2yos!  Penelopy went on to finish her championship at the Salem and Roseburg shows this year!

Penny's sire, Topfen, is the littermate to the lovely SGCH Tempo Aquila Tetrazzini 4*M, who has the distinct honor of being the highest appraising alpine in the U.S. at a stunning 94/EEEE!

Penny's littermate sister, "Ramona",  has received her dry leg and went BJDIS down in Red Bluff, CA this year!

We showed with Fanci's dam, Living, when she was a yearling and she was stunning even then.  We knew we wanted a doe kid from her early on and especially when we found out she was being bred to Freeport.  Living has a big show career ahead of her and we look forward to seeing her develop!  She will be an exciting doe to watch!

Fanci is a lovely belted chamoisee with an impeccable topline, great length, and a flat rump thurl to thurl just like her dam's.   Her front legset tracks straight, with her rear legset showing alot of width in the escutcheon.  Her sterling quality is the smoothness of her front assembly with excellent depth and extension in the heart girth and brisket.  She is a beautiful animal.

5/11/11 **Living, Fanci's dam, was 2x GCH & BUOB, 1x BDIS and 4x 1st as a two year old 2nd freshener at her first show of the year in Red Bluff, CA  in a 2yo class of 12.  Penelopy her paternal sister was in 2nd right behind her!**

5/30/11 **Living is now a SGCH doe at the age of two!  She finished her championship at the highly competitive REDGA show in CA.  REDGA has been referred to as a mini Nationals!  She also appraised 92EEEE at the age of 2!**

2011 fall breeding plans:  Fanci will remain dry
