About Us:
Sequoia Wood goat milk soaps and creams are made from fresh, high quality oils, not pre-purchased melt and pour bases, or lotion bases. The oils we choose to include in our recipes are loaded with vitamins A, D, and vitamin E. We do not use rapeseed or cottonseed oils, some of the most highly chemically treated oils, in any of our products.
Goat Milk! Each bar has almost 1 full ounce of milk! Our milk is processed by hand, fresh off our farm in the Willamette Valley and included raw to retain as many beneficial vitamins as possible. We do not use dehydrated milk powder, nor do we buy our milk from someone else. We prefer to maintain control of our most important ingredient for our soap, our milk! Rich in vitamins and minerals, milk is classified as a lipoprotein. This translates into more moisture for your skin as well as the increased ability for your skin to absorb all those beautiful nutrients included in the goat milk. Goat milk also acts as a natural exfoliate because of its Alpha-Hydroxy components.
Because all our soap is made using the superior cold process method, we retain the naturally occurring glycerin to draw moisture to your skin. Many people have sesitivities to glycerin that is added to soaps and lotions and just don't realize that is the culprit. We don't add glycerin to our soaps, it is not needed! We do not add preservatives, titanium oxide, or micas (due to possible impurities) to our soaps. Our lotions and soaps do not contain propylene glycol which some studies claim may be cancer causing.
What could all this mean for you?? It may mean more moisturization for your skin, & less irritation. Our customers regularly report that our soap is long lasting, has wonderful lather, and is extremely mild and caring for their skin! Those with psoriasis and eczema have told us they experience less flaking and red irritation on their skin. Sensitive skin users have told us the bumps they used to have all over their bodies as a result of using other soaps have disappeared almost completely when using ours.
Our lotions treat your skin to a drink of moisture every time you use them, as well as essential vitamins and minerals that are good for you.
